On The Day of the Mission
After breakfast we walked back to our cabins and got our gear and the box that has held Patti's ashes for the last 8 months.
Then to the boat dock to launch ourselves onto these high seas in our little "tupperware kayaks". Tupperware kayaks is somewhat of a derogatory name that real kayakers give to these inexpensive tourist kayaks which cost only about 6 or 7 hundred dollars compared to high enders that can run in the several thousands.)
We didn't care. These work just fine for our purposes.
While we were out on the lake, Bob had to smack Barbara in the head with his paddle a few times just to shut her up from being a front-seat driver. I told them they should take 2 kayaks but nooooo.. She said her shoulders ached but we all believed she just wanted to be paddled around like a Queen or something. :-D
